2016 Trail Design Clinic

Today, with the support of Marty’s Reliable Cycle, we held our first trail design clinic at Dickerson Mine Preserve. Volunteers learned about the five principles of sustainable trail design, the anatomy of a proper bench cut trail, flow control and clinometer use. We finished off the day testing our new skills by designing a portion of the new King Mine Trail (Yellow Trail).

A huge thank you to everyone that braved the weather to attend. Anyone interested in attending a future trail maintenance date can sign up for email notifications here: Trail Maintenance Mailing List
